We’ve expanded the FIREFLY Fox Systems Guide with additional tested and assessed systems to offer contractors, installers, and certifiers more compliant solutions for mixed-service penetrations.
The updated guide now supports a wider variety of wall types, including Shaftliner, hollow block, and Kingspan panel walls, as well as one-sided installations for locations where access is limited. Larger wall openings can be managed with FIREFLYBatt or FIREFLYMastic. The latest release (260494 RIR 1.1) also broadens the approved service penetrations, adding support for metal pipes, insulated PEX pipes, and flat TPS cables.
These enhancements not only increase the system’s versatility but also simplify installation, reduce onsite complexity, and provide greater confidence in achieving compliant fire-rated penetrations. As Luke Touma, Site Engineer at Coplex, notes from his experience:
